On June 15th, I will be embarking on a nine week summer voyage study abroad program through Semester at Sea.
The itinerary includes: June 13th: Fly from Augusta to Halifax, Nova Scotia June 15th: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (port of departure) June 24th-27th: Barcelona, Spain June 29th-July 2nd: Civitavecchia, Italy July 3rd-5th: Naples, Italy July 8th-11th: Dubrovnik, Croatia July 14th-18th: Piraeus, Greece July 20th-24th: Istanbul, Turkey July 27th-31st: Alexandria, Egypt August 7th-10th: Casablanca, Morocco August 21st: Norfolk, Virginia (back in the USA)
While at port, we are free to explore; therefore, when we are traveling to and from ports, we will be taking classes on the ship. I will be taking: Global Studies, Intro to International Trade, and History of Art I (Pre-Renaissance Era).
What time is it there?
Onboard the MV Explorer, we will be using the 24-hour clock; however, we also change time zones frequently. Since all of you will be wondering "What time is it there?" I wanted to let you know. The following chart illustrates the time difference from the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
