I also have been frantically cleaning out my stuff from school, so that I can pack tomorrow. I just cleaned out my book bag, found one of the two suitcases I am going to take, and putting the finishing touches on the little things I have to do before I leave. I hope that I don't forget anything! I also need to decide on which movies to transfer to my computer for entertainment while on the ship and which ones to put on my ipod for entertainment for trains and planes while traveling in the countries. What a decision! I absolutely love Mrs. Doubtfire, so I am sure it will be on both because I can watch it over and over again. Well, I need to go get stuff done. Later!

My did the time fly!
With only 3 days until my mom and I fly up to Halifax, Nova Scotia, I am beginning to freak out a little bit. We started researching what we want to see while in Halifax last night (I know it is kinda late, but better late than never!) and we are thinking about the Bay of Fundy and Peggy's Cove. The Bay of Funday is located between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick and has a pretty amazing tide! Each day 100 billion tonnes of seawater flows in and out of the Bay of Fundy during one tide cycle (more than the combined flow of the world’s freshwater rivers)! Peggy's Cove is a very small rural town (Wikipedia says their population as of 2009 is 46 people...) with a very beautiful lighthouse, that also functions as the town's post office, and is very active fishing town. While in Halifax, we could see Pier 21 (I leave from Pier 20...) which is the Ellis Island to Canada. We also could see the Titanic Museum! This could actually be pretty amazing! For those of you who don't know, three Halifax ships were involved in the grim task of recovering victims - many of whom were laid to rest in three of Halifax's cemeteries. Many of the ship's items that were recovered from the waters in the weeks and years following the accident are located in the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic just a few blocks from our hotel on the Halifax peninsula. Mom also wants to go whale watching, but we will have to see. I will be on a boat for 10 days crossing the Atlantic, so I really don't know if I want to get on one for a few hours to go whale watching the day before. Don't get me wrong, whale watching is amazing! While in Juneau, Alaska with my grandparents, we went whale watching and it was an awesome experience. Watching various episodes of Life and Planet Earth made me feel like I was back in Alaska with all of the cool animals we got to see! Okay back to Halifax...as you can see, we have many things we want to do in our day and a half adventure in Nova Scotia. Now it is up to you to come back and read where we decided to go...sorry had to put a cliff hanger in there! Hopefully it works...
