Knock Knock...Housekeeping!

Now that all almost everyone in the world was received an email with a link to my blog and begun reading the posts, I am getting emails left and right with questions. That means it is time for some housekeeping notes...

First, I would like to take a brief second to thank everyone that has made this trip possible for me! Without my Grandparents (aka Mummum and Pa), I definitely would not even be thinking about the possibility of participating on Semester at Sea. Before I could even say Mummum and Pa (what I called them since I couldn't say grandma and grandpa), they started saving money for me to do something fun and exciting while in college. Little did they know it would send their grandson around the Mediterranean on a 66 day voyage 21 years later. From spending money while in port, to saving enough money for the entire voyage, their continuous generosity and compassion is truly amazing. To that, I THANK YOU!!! Love you guys! Thanks to my parents for putting up with my endless conversations and errands in preparation to embark on the voyage of a lifetime. All of the countless hours we have spent together buying toiletries, clothes (which is a very difficult task when dealing with my picky style and extremely short body), and various pieces of technology and communication devices are extremely extremely appreciated. To you!!! To all of my other family and friends, I thank you for all of the wonderful advice and stories you have told me about your travel experiences. Advice is the cheapest thing one can give, but is the most beneficial (if good...which all of yours was)! I have throughly enjoyed telling each and every one of you about this experience! Last but not least, thanks to my Great Aunt Bev for the very nice card and spending money. I am including you into the blog, since I know I don't have a lot of time for thank you notes! Thanks!

Secondly, many have asked how you can keep in contact while I am abroad. There are several ways. I will not be accepting phone calls or text messages (since they cost an arm and a leg), but communication via email is free for the entire voyage! :) My email address is kyletboggs@gmail.com. Another great way just to leave me a short note is by commenting on one of my blog posts. To comment on a post, click comments after the last line of the text in that post. Type your note into the white box and choose name/url from the drop down menu. When prompted, enter your name (something so I know who it is) and click sumbit. Note: you do not need to enter a url to leave a comment with that menu selection. This voyage has already taught me a lot about what I want to do for a living in a few years...not write directions!!! I hope everyone can figure out. Mummum: You can do it too. JUST READ THE SCREEN AND THINK!!! Love ya!

Lastly, I have not even begun packing yet. I have pulled out my suitcases and starting pulling a few things together, but the suitcases are pretttttttty empty. It will get done sooner or later. I am also beginning to loose the excited phase and beginning to enter the nervous phase. I keep wondering "if my bags will make it to the ship with me," "if I will wish I went to Augusta to buy travel toilet paper," or "if I should listen to Jeff Foxworthy and use Piggly Wiggly bags and Igloo coolers as my luggage." I guess that is why there is an "if"! What "if"... I am sure everything will work out in the end...even if the end means I wear the same pair of underwear until I get to Spain to buy clothes! Hey, I guess I could look like a true Spanglish-Spaniard...Buenos Dias! Hopefully NOTTTTTTT!!!!

Well, since I have completed all of the housekeeping, it is time to put a chocolate on the pillow and move on to the next task! ONE DAY LEFT...
