First Day of Travels
Well, the adventure has officially begun! I am sitting on the bed in Halifax, Nova Scotia writing this with my eyes almost closed. Last night my mom and I stayed up until 2am packing, but we had to wake up at 3am in order to shower and go to the airport. Needless to say, we didn't even go to bed! We tried to sleep on each of our three plane rides this morning; however, it is easier said than done. We may have slept for a max combined time of 60 minutes on all three flights. Once we finally got here, we picked up our rental car, checked in the hotel, and met up with Danielle and her family to head to Peggy's Cove. It was absolutely beautiful! Peggy's Cove is a quaint fishing village about 30 minutes away from Halifax. The most amazing rocks are nestled along all of the water shores. The rocks are very large and absolutely breathtaking. The rocks are so large that there is a very red and white lighthouse positioned on top. The homes are very colorful, small cottages and many have boats and lobster pots on the back porch. The rocks and untouched land travels as far as the eye can see in all directions. We ate dinner at a small mom 'n pop restaurant at the top of the hill by the lighthouse overlooking the water. We all had a blast, even climbing all over the rocks! Tomorrow we are headed to go see the Bay of Fundy and then our family members get to go on the ship without us at 6:30pm. Danielle and I are going to hang out at the hotel while they are on the ship, so we can meet some other fellow sas students. Okay, I'm toooooo tired to keep typing! Goodnight! Ps it is only 8:15 and I am off to bed. You know we must be tired!

Hi, Have just read your blog and sounds like fun at the cove. Much cooler there I bet. Talked to your Dad tonight and he said it is very warm there today and the flowers are wilted. Have fun getting acquainted with the ship Tuesday. I baked cookies tonight for our trip to Fosters. John graduates Friday at 4:30 PM. About 400 in his class. Love, Gram and Grandpa
